Hello this is my first ever blog, I hope you enjoy it, I'm in my late forties, and as my name suggests I live in Cornwall. One of the most beautiful areas of the United Kingdom. I just live an ordinary life, but sometimes I think they can be the most interesting. I have two grown up children, and have been married for 27 years. I love my husband and childrem more than I can explain, I have no words to describe the magnitude of my love for them.
Anyway, what has today brought me, I have been packing for a trip tomorrow to visit my brother, his wife passed away in April, she had bravely fought breast cancer for many years, but eventually lost her battle. She was a brave, wonderful, kind, inspirational woman, who kept her sense of humour until the very end. Anyway, on Monday we are attending a fundraiser my brother has organised, for her favourite charities. So we have a long journey to North East England.
Today I went out for lunch with my lovely daughter, we were overlooking the sea, and the waves were fierce, and crashing onto the beach. It was magnificent. On days like this I get reminded that mother nature really is in charge. Sometimes holidaymakers to this area don't understand the strength of the sea, and can get into trouble. We have a fantastic lifeguard service, mainly run by the RNLI which is run entirely by donation. We should try not to put ourselves at risk, so their resources are not overburdened.
